The only 3/4 helmet I ride with.

I'm a die-hard wind-in-your-face kind of rider. I have ridden over 65,000 miles with a half helmet - shunning face shields, windshields, fairings, and pretty much anything that gets between me and the breeze. I ride in hot, cold, windy, and rainy conditions. So, what about this helmet made me choose to cover my ears and put on a face shield? Price and Features.

This helmet allows me to still feel the breeze -- just rotate the faceshield up one notch or all the way up. I can ride in changing light conditions (i.e. early mornings, late evenings, and through tunnels) with out stopping to change my glasses -- just slide the internal sun visor up or down. I can't stand having my cheeks pushed in to my teeth. This helmet doesn't do that and is far more comfortable than a full-face helmet.

Excellent helmet for the price. Comparable Shoei helmets (with fewer features) will cost you a lot more.

One note about sizing: The IS-33 is sized sli ghtly smaller than the CL-33 model. I tried on both models at the local (overpriced) motorcycle store. It was obvious that I needed one size larger for this model.

Great price for helmet

The price for the helmet is good. the seller had very fast delivery. The helmet was lacking in a couple areas. The tinted shield is far less tinted to do you any good in bright sunlight. I ordered the darkest tint shield and it too sucks. You cannot get a shield dark enough for bright sunlight. The way HJC made the helmet they did not allow for ear pieces. A really bad design on their behalf. To put in headsets you really have to butcher the styrofoam to get the ear pieces installed. HJC could have made the headset earpiece recesses in the foam then put a plug to fill the hole. Good luck with your scalpel cutting up your new helmet for your earpieces. HJC really let its customers down in this area.
Other than the above the helmet is a great fitting helmet and light weight.
